Step 1 – BRIEF & CONSULTATION
After you’ve shared your brief, thoughts and ideas with me at firstname.lastname@example.org (please share any images or Pinterest boards you may have that shows what you have in mind) I will get back to you straight away with a tailored quote or to have an initial chat about your bespoke calligraphy details.
STEP 2 – DESIGN PREPPING
After I have a grasp of your ideas and requirements I can either help source the materials that are needed. Or if you want me to work on your materials I request that you send me a couple of samples for me to test ahead of the event. This helps me ensure you get the quality calligraphy you’re looking for and that everything runs as smoothly as possible on the day
Step 3 – DESIGN/THE EVENT
With all the materials at hand I’ll bring out the ink and nib and get started on your event stationery. When the last i is dotted I’ll thoughtfully package everything up and send to you.
All the materials have been tested and the day for your event has arrived! I’ll come to your event, pen holder and nib in hand and ready to mesmerise your guests with some live calligraphy. I really will never get over all the ooooh-ing and aaaah-ing sounds this tends to bring out.
My calligraphy styles
I offer four calligraphy styles, each with a different look and feel. This allows you to choose the one that best matches your aesthetic.
Flowing and romantic with a gentle bounce. This is an organic yet graceful script with soft flourishes.
Modern and romantic with its’ gentle flourishes. With a hint of playfulness it’s perfect for a less formal yet endlessly romantic aesthetic.
Marrying the timeless elegance of traditional Copperplate with modern flair. This script is luxuriously graceful.
My most modern and casual no-frills script. This style has a blissfully carefree feel to it. Making it perfect for a modern yet thoughtfully handwritten look.

Each bespoke project is unique so pricing will vary. Please get in touch for a bespoke quote but as a guide please see starting prices below (not including materials).
Place cards – £1 (first name) £1.50 (first and surname)
Calligraphed names on menus etc – £1 (first name) / £1.50 (first and surname) / £2 (couples and families)
Bespoke menu design – from £60 (not including printing)
Table numbers – from £3
Welcome sign – from £70
Live calligraphy – £45/hour
(£180 minimum fee, extra fees may be added for events outside London)
A little note about availability
Since all my designs involve bespoke calligraphy I can only design as quickly as a pointed nib will let me (and ink will dry). I recommend booking at least 2-3 months in advance to avoid disappointment. That said, don’t hesitate to get in touch even if you’re on a deadline. I will do my best to make some magic happen for you.

How long does it take until I have my calligraphy items?
Turnaround time for event calligraphy will depend on the design complexity and time of year. As a guide I would say between 3-6 weeks. I encourage you to plan ahead but don’t be afraid to reach out even if you’re cutting it a bit close to the deadline. I will do my very best to work some magic for you and I will let you know what is feasible within your timeframe. Please note that a rush fee of 30% will incur for rush jobs.
What happens if our campaign idea changes and evolves while we’re working together?
No worries, before I became a full time calligrapher I worked in Advertising so I know all about those ever changing deadlines and requirements. I will be as transparent as possible with you throughout the process and let you know how any changes may affect the deadline or pricing.
I have some beautiful gift tags/christmas ornaments/other custom material I would love for you to come to my shop to personalise. Would this be possible?
I love experimenting with new materials, almost anything is possible. Send me a note with your ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can chat it through. I always request samples of the material ahead of the event for me to test out. This will help ensure any mishaps while figuring out what materials work together happens without an audience.
